    Mission of Communication Specialist  

    Responsible for internal communications.  As part of this team, the individual role will help interpret, translate and apply company culture and strategy to all levels of the organization.  This includes drafting, editing, and publishing written and video communications that engage managers and employees and increases their knowledge of the subject matter and drives necessary action.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Develops, edits, writes and proofs corporate content to align with company culture, objectives, mission and brand
    • Develops and executes campaigns and strategies for enterprise wide rollouts and initiatives, working with internal stakeholders
    • Produce communications across a broad spectrum of media (digital, print, video, text, company sharepoint, etc.) for the internal audience
    • Ability to capture “voice” of various business leaders and prepare communications respectively as needed
    • Produce video series/communications to promote internal relationships
    • Create and shoot informational and communication videos as well as develop and improve graphics for other communications mediums, including PCs and mobile devices all designed to improve employee communications, engagement, onboarding and more
    • Utilize internal social media platform for announcements
    • Assist with rhythms for Reward and Recognition, creative updates and recaps of events
    • Assist with capturing stories on video such as local branch activities, celebrations, community outreach programs, purpose/mission videos from executive leadership
    • Manages, supports and coordinates culture initiatives (Super Service Challenge, MATCH, Field Service Day, etc.) as assigned
    • Assists in departmental scorecard data updates and accountable to departmental scorecard metrics (Communications and Culture Key Performance Indicators)

    Background and Minimum Years Experience:  The Communication Specialist will have a background that includes:

     

    • Education – Bachelors degree in Journalism/Communications/Public Relations
    • Professional Experience –
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills
    • Experience successfully creating and implementing communications strategies
    • Excellent proofreading and copy editing skills
    • Experience with graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)                                                     

    Qualifications

    Physical Qualifications:  The Communication Specialist will have physical qualifications that include:

     

    • Sitting for long periods of time
    • Hearing and visual acuity necessary
    • Must be able to work under stress and interruptions
    • Position may require bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching and walking.
